Roof flashing repair
Where a roof meets something else, flashing carries the responsibility for keeping water outside.

Chimneys, walls and dormers
Step flashing, counterflashing and roof-to-wall transitions must shed water through a sequence of correctly lapped components. Open joints, displaced metal or short-lived sealant patches can lead to recurring leakage. Leak investigation should distinguish roofing defects from masonry or wall issues so the repair addresses the right part of the building.
Skylights and pipe penetrations
A skylight leak may involve its flashing, surrounding roof or the unit itself. Pipe boots can deteriorate around the pipe even when adjacent shingles remain sound. Compatible replacements need to integrate with the roof covering and underlayment. A condition review is useful before assuming the whole skylight needs replacement.
Edges deserve the same attention
Drip edges guide runoff away from vulnerable roof edges, while fascia and soffits can reveal a history of overflow or water entry. Combine drainage corrections with damaged edge repairs where needed. During replacement, evaluate existing flashing rather than automatically burying or reusing it beneath the new underlayment assembly.
